Indonesian Corporate & Tourism Licensing
We operate with full legal standing and transparency within the Republic of Indonesia.
- Legal Entity: Northbalitravel Co. is a fully registered Perseroan Terbatas (PT), the Indonesian equivalent of a limited liability company.
- Tourism Business License (SIUP): We hold a valid Surat Izin Usaha Pariwisata (TDUP – Tanda Daftar Usaha Pariwisata) issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), authorizing us to operate as a full-service travel agency and tour operator.
- Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP): We are a registered taxpayer in Indonesia (NPWP: 99.999.999.9-999.000 – format example), fulfilling all fiscal obligations as required by the Directorate General of Taxes.
Staff & Crew Welfare and Certification

- Social Security & Health Insurance: All permanent employees are registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (the national social security program for workers) and BPJS Kesehatan (the national health insurance program).
- Professional Guide Certification: All our lead guides are certified by the Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia (HPI), the official Indonesian Tourist Guide Association.
- Driver Certification: All our drivers hold a professional driver’s license (SIM B1 or B2, as appropriate for the vehicle) and undergo regular defensive driving and first aid training.
Operational Safety Standards & Protocols
We implement and enforce safety standards that often exceed local requirements.
- Vehicle Fleet Management: Our entire fleet of luxury vehicles is subject to monthly preventative maintenance schedules, is equipped with GPS tracking for real-time monitoring, and carries comprehensive passenger liability insurance.
- Marine Safety: All our partner boat charters are captained by certified professionals holding a minimum of an ANKAPIN II (Deck Officer Class II) license. Vessels are fully equipped with SOLAS-compliant safety equipment, including life rafts, vests, GPS, and ship-to-shore radios.
- Aviation Compliance: All private air charters, including helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, are conducted by operators holding a valid Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Indonesia. All flights operate in strict compliance with flight plans filed with AirNav Indonesia.
- 24/7 Emergency Response: We maintain a 24/7 emergency contact line for all clients. Our team is trained in emergency response protocols and we have established relationships with international-standard medical facilities, such as BIMC Hospital, for immediate assistance and medical evacuation if required.
